Youth HELP (Health, Empowerment and Leadership Programme)

Multicultural Arts and Media Centre is embarking on an exciting national Youth HELP (Health, Empowerment and Leadership Programme) which will be taking place from 13th August 2015 to March 2016. This programme aims to Empower and Develop young people from many diverse backgrounds as future Health Leaders, supported by NHS England, Building Regional Youth Voice.

The aims of the programme will be delivered through 5 Modules, which will cover many areas of interest and relevance to young people such as knowledge of the National Health Service and Mental Health and Illness and will include visits to local Health and Public Services. The programme will encourage the use of the performing arts to allow the young people to explore and express their views and beliefs that they feel affect their lives.

Effective Communication and Presentation skills will also be developed as part of the programme and the young people will present reports based on what has been discussed and learned during the programme at the end of year Youth HELP Conference.

We are seeking to recruit 40 Young People from the North to join the Training programme from 13th , 20th, 27th, August and 3rd September 2015 at MAMC. (Refreshments provided).
